Scripture Study - Mondays after the 9:00am Mass
Our Scripture Study Group is always open for new members. We read the appropriate reading
from the missallette, we then read a small commentary on the reading and answer a question.
If you want to offer an answer or not it is up to you. It is done very informally.
We meet on Mondays after the 9:00am Mass in the Rectory.
Stewardship Appeal
To date, 59 families have pledged a total of $9,080 and have paid $6,785 toward their commitment to the
Stewardship Appeal effort in our parish. It would be wonderful if we could exceed our goal and make a strong
showing with the number of families who have committed to the Appeal. We received $3,016.80 last year as we
exceeded our goal. PLEASE, the Appeal needs all of us to play a role in order for it to be successful.
Please be as generous as possible. Thank you.
The Archdiocese of New York takes the stewardship of your donations and its resources seriously.
If you have knowledge of financial misconduct or suspect that it might be occurring, please report your
concerns via a toll free hot line, at 877-8200541, or on the Internet, at

A Very Personal Invitation! - Sunday, June 10th after the 12 Noon Mass
I would like to extend a very personal invitation to all our parishioners to my Book Launching on
June 10th after the 12 Noon Mass to take place at the OAC. The title of my humble book is
“A Filipino Priest’s New York Diaries” that tells a story of my own life as a priest from the
Philippines doing pastoral work in parishes in New York and New Jersey and savoring the
various pastoral and physical landscapes of New York – spanning twenty something years.
The book was published by the Publishing House of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila,
where I finished Theology and Philosophy. - Father Erno Diaz

always Holy Days of Obligation in the United States,
regardless of the day they fall on.
For other movable Holy Days, Catholics in the
United States are not obligated to attend Mass if that
